Short version: Sonic is a free tool. Your files never leave your device. Use it responsibly and only for content you have the right to convert.
By using Sonic ("the tool", "the service") at sonic.runtime-hub.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the tool.
Sonic is a browser-based audio and video converter powered by FFmpeg WebAssembly. All processing occurs locally on your device. No files are transmitted to, stored on, or processed by any server operated by RUNTIMEZERO or RuntimeHub.
Sonic does not collect, store, or transmit your media files at any point. Processing happens entirely within your browser's memory. When you close the tab or navigate away, all file data is discarded. There is nothing to retain because nothing ever reaches our infrastructure.
You may use Sonic to convert audio and video files for which you hold the necessary rights or permissions. Permitted uses include:
You must not use Sonic to convert content that:
Because all processing is local, RUNTIMEZERO has no technical ability to monitor or enforce these restrictions. Compliance is entirely your responsibility.
Sonic is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the tool will be available at all times, that conversions will be error-free, or that output files will meet any specific quality standard. FFmpeg is a third-party open-source project maintained independently of RUNTIMEZERO.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RUNTIMEZERO shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sonic, including data loss or corruption of media files.
Sonic loads FFmpeg WebAssembly from jsDelivr CDN. By using the tool, you also accept the terms of those CDN services. FFmpeg is licensed under the LGPL / GPL. The FFmpeg licence is available at ffmpeg.org/legal.html.
Sonic is supported by non-intrusive display advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks (such as Google AdSense). We do not sell user data to advertisers. Ad networks may set cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Sonic after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, European Union. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania.
